Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant or Manager to join the Pacific Northwest Business Unit (Seattle, Washington, Vancouver, Washington, or Portland, Oregon).Are you eager to develop your excellence in an inclusive, collaborative, and empowering community? Join our Environment and Health department as our new Managing Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new role

As a Managing Consultant, you will join our team of scientists and engineers located in and associated with our Seattle, Washington office, or working remotely from Vancouver, Washington or Portland, Oregon.Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:Prepare technical analyses of complicated site contamination, assessing nature and extent and transport and fate of contaminants.Assess emerging contaminant risks and impacts for sites and portfolios of sites.Critically review and interpret environmental regulations, and evaluate regulatory compliance issues.Evaluate remedial alternatives and develop remedial action plans and cost estimates considering client needs, technical feasibility, and regulatory environment.Support the assessment, valuation, management and reporting of environmental liabilities.Work collaboratively with other Ramboll subject matter experts to prepare reports that effectively communicate analyses and findings.Lead and conduct multiple projects simultaneously and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.Take on leadership roles in supporting internal and external clients.Demonstrate leadership in implementing corporate health and safety standards.Leverage experience and skill set to support training of other team members.Provide advisory support to industry, government, and legal clients, helping them to achieve better, more sustainable outcomes.Your new team

For this role, we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success:M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., civil, environmental, or chemical) or in a relevant science discipline (e.g., geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, soil science).5+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience.Experience with environmental site investigations, transport and fate analyses, and remediation implementation and analyses.Project management experience, including the ability to manage project lifecycles from scoping to delivering high-quality and on-time deliverables.Litigation services experience, including working with consulting and/or testifying experts.Feasibility study analysis, remedial cost analysis, and costs and liabilities model development experience.Experience leading environmental site investigation and remediation projects.Strong technical skills and experience writing technical reports.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.The following additional areas of experience are preferred:Experience with multiple environmental media (e.g., soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water).Experience with multiple contaminant classes (e.g., chlorinated solvents, hydrocarbons, metals, PCBs, and/or PFAS).Regulatory experience, including review, interpretation, and compliance.Agency engagement experience at the federal, state, and/or local levels.Remediation design, implementation, O&M, and regulatory closure.Property transaction support/due diligence.Experience with training team members.Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:Ability to work concurrently on numerous technical projects while maintaining flexibility.Strong data analysis and visualization skillsets (e.g., using ArcGIS Pro, R, and/or Python).Interest in understanding, quantifying, and communicating about uncertainty.Comfort with public speaking and presentations.Excellent writing skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Desire to work in a collaborative environment.Ability to understand the big picture while maintaining attention to detail.Interest in making a positive impact on the world through our work.What we can offer you

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. This role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $113,000 and $125,000. Actual pay may vary depending on factors such as experience, geographical location, and skill level.Work at the heart of sustainable change
