SUMMARY:The Scientist in Purification Development is responsible for all aspects of protein purification process development from process definition to commercialization of pipeline projects. The candidate must have hands-on working experience in applying engineering and scientific principles in purification process optimization, process characterization, scale-up, technology transfer, and process validation, preferably with parenteral biopharmaceuticals. This may include but is not limited to development of operations such as filtration, tangential flow filtration, chromatography, centrifugation, protein refolding, and pegylation. The candidate must also possess strong writing skills for technical documentation, proficient public speaking skills, and the ability to interface effectively with other departments.Education and Experience:Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, biochemistry or related scientific disciplines. BS with at least 9 years’ experience, MS with 6 years’ experience, or PhD with 0-2 years’ experience in purification within a pharmaceutical process development group.The pay range Tanvex reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $88,400 and $106,500. Individual compensation varies depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
