We are looking for a candidate with an interest in climate hazard research and analyses, hydrological and/or coastal modeling experience, stormwater management and flood mitigation design experience, and a willingness to learn new analysis methods and techniques.ResponsibilitiesTypical resilience projects involve multi-climate hazard analysis and related risk mitigation design for master plans, campuses, and individual new and existing buildings.Research and analysis of the latest climate and resilience-related academic and scientific studies.Research and analysis of local and national baseline building code requirements for a variety of climate and earth hazards and future projected climate change data (i.e. coastal flooding and sea level rise, precipitation, wind, tornado, etc.).On-site surveys, inspections, and investigations including visual surveying of existing conditions and documenting observations, photographing, and sketching.Hydrological analysis, 2D stormwater simulation, and watershed modeling and design stormwater management systems.Review of existing project drawings, specifications, and related documents.Contract document preparation and detail development using AutoCAD and Revit.Preparation of technical reports and presentations summarizing climate hazard assessments and mitigation design.Collaboration and coordination with other TT Practices (i.e., Structures, Facades, Renewal, Transportation, Protective Design & Security, Applied Science, etc.).Assistance in project administration on an as-needed basis.Assistance in proposal writing on an as-needed basis.Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other project consultants including architects and other engineering disciplines, cost consultants, and contractors.Data preparation and analysis for use in modeling.Execute modeling studies of inland, coastal, and nearshore dynamics, focused on urban flooding, urban stormwater networks, coastal/riverine flooding and/or wave action.Preparation of FEMA and local floodplain documentation.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
