Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a talented Manager, Firmware Engineering who will be responsible for developing world-class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for individuals who enjoy creating firmware for server products, prototyping concepts, and investigating new technologies. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring junior team members to ensure they can pick up tasks efficiently. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust server products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):• Build and lead a team of firmware engineers to design and develop world-class firmware for cutting-edge enterprise products.• Drive the analysis, debug, optimization, and validation of BMC or CMM firmware on complex embedded multi-core architectures.• Drive the triage and root cause of system, driver, and device firmware issues at customer sites through hands-on leadership.• Provide hands-on customer support to ensure the successful adoption and integration of cutting-edge products.Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred; Master's degree is desirable.• 12+ years of experience in software and/or firmware is preferred.• Solid understanding of PC hardware architecture, BMC, ROT, and Linux is required.• Direct experience in managing a team of firmware engineers supporting storage, computing, or multi-purpose rack server systems.• Technical proficiency and strong experience in C/C++ for drivers or embedded systems is required.• Hands-on experience with kernel and firmware debugging and protocol analyzers is desirable.Salary Range:

$170,000 - $208,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.EEO Statement:
