From disease prevention to quaternary care to post-acute and home care, we meet patients wherever they are in their care journey. Touch points with other programs, including the Allina Health Cancer Institute and the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, allow us to expand access to Whole-Person Care in the communities we serve.Key Position Details:Allina Health's Neuroscience, Spine, and Pain Institute is expanding its services to include a general outpatient Neurology clinic. The physicians in this role will work collaboratively with a variety of specialists to deliver the highest level of care to the patients in our communities.Outpatient General Neurology with Allina Health Neuroscience, Spine, and Pain Institute in Minneapolis, MNSchedule: Monday through Friday, clinic hours (approx. 8am - 5pm)A 1.0 FTE includes 4.5 days of clinic and one half-day of administrative time per weekDedicated RNs, CMAs, and scheduling support for the Neurology clinicAccess to subspecialists including Neuro Oncology, Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, and Migraine/Headache.H-1B visa support at all locations; J1 visa waiver support at Minneapolis and St. Paul locationsJob Description:Principle ResponsibilitiesDirect Patient Care.
Diagnoses, treats and consults patients who have a disease or impaired function of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, muscles and autonomic nervous system, as well as the blood vessels that relate to these structures.Examines patient's mental and physical status, conducts medical tests and scans, and evaluates the results to diagnose and treat the patient.Performs and interprets basic neurophysiology tests.Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.Provides education, consultation, or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.Participates in neuroscience research activities.Charts in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope.Actively participates in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management.May provide care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient or outpatient hospital setting.May participate in on-call rotation.

Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
