Alameda County Health Care Services Agency (HCSA)
serves over
1.6 million residents
and covers 14 cities and 6 unincorporated communities. HCSA employs more than 1,700 staff working across four departments:
Behavioral
Health,
Environmental
Health, Office of the
Agency Director , and
Public
Health. HCSA manages multiple satellite offices across the county to provide a broad range of services that cover people of all ages from all backgrounds. Under general direction of the Agency Director, this position leads all of the Health Care Services Agency’s (HCSA) healthcare compliance initiatives, including the design, development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of an effective compliance and privacy program; ensures all appropriate controls and processes required to comply with federal and state healthcare and privacy regulations are in place. The Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer will build and maintain a culture of compliance integrated in all aspects of business and clinical operations across the organization, and performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:
Possession of a master’s degree from an accredited university or college in health care administration, business or public administration, public health, social welfare, or a closely related field;
AND, EXPERIENCE:
The equivalent of seven (7) years of full-time, professional level experience in regulatory compliance or privacy, health care administration, quality assurance, or fiscal operations in a health care setting; two (2) years of which must have included supervision or lead responsibility. CERTIFICATE:
Possession of a Healthcare Compliance Certificate issued by the Healthcare Compliance Association’s Certification Board.
