We are continuing to expand our Incident Management Team (IMT) strength in a variety of roles. The ideal candidate will have experience working on financial, cost analysis, and cost efficiency aspects of the Disaster Debris Removal Operation and other Disaster Management recovery efforts, specifically wildfires. This includes tracking, preparing, documenting, and administering damage claim and damage claim evaluations. Experience and the ability to integrate into the client’s IC structure as well as the Witt O’Brien’s Team is critical to being successful in this role.Reports to:

Domestic TravelEssential Job FunctionsResponsible for all financial, administrative, and cost analysis aspects of the incident and serves as a member of the Command and General Staff (C&G).Supervises members of the Finance/Administration Section and reports to the Incident Commander (IC).Partners closely with the client’s Chief Accounting Officer and serves as a Point of Contact for meetings, answering questions, and developing reports.Develop a database to include items such as invoiced and actual payment financial data by assigned number, FEMA eligibility information, and community costs by invoice number and payment amount.Monitor contractor’s agreement negotiations, recording or auditing staff timesheets and equipment time, documenting and processing claims for accidents during the operational period, and managing all costs associated with the operation.Liaison with Witt O’Brien’s functional groups, Portfolio Management Office, and Project Staff to accurately share cost information.Prioritize and simultaneously handle multiple work tasks in a dynamic work environment.Work as a member of a larger team supporting debris removal activities, comprised of various stakeholders within Witt O’Brien’s, partnering firms, and clients.Ability to travel onsite to impacted locations for extended periods of time.Other duties as assigned.A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, business, or related disciplines.A minimum of five (5) years’ experience providing administrative support related to finance, reporting, invoice preparation, and maintaining financial records.Strong presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.Experience working with federal, state, and local all-hazards incident management.Knowledge of FEMA Public Assistance Eligibility.Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Email, Microsoft TEAMS, and calendar functions.Experience working with Smartsheet is a plus.Preferred Job RequirementsOne of the following credentials: Certified public accountant (CPA), Certified Construction Auditor, Construction Control Professional, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Bookkeeper, Certified Inspector General, Certified Inspector General Auditor, Certified Inspector General Investigator, Certified Information Technology Professional or Attorneys in good standing with the State Bar of California.Understanding of emergency management principles and constructs to include completion of Incident Command System courses 100, 200, 700, and 800.Understanding or completion of E/L 0973: National Incident Management System Incident Command System All-Hazards Finance/Administration Section Chief, or equivalent.Understanding or completion of the United States Fire Administration (USFA) O-0305: Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) Introduction, or equivalent.Work ScheduleUrgent, disaster-related needs may require extended hours or work on holidays or weekends.Job Description DisclaimerThis position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job.
