a passionate and skilled Senior Backend Engineer who wants to swing for the fences to accomplish our mission, is excited by an early-stage startup environment where the hardest problems are yet to be solved, and is eager to learn and collaborate together.This is an in-person position. Our office is located in San Francisco, CA.What you'll be working onBuild and maintain high-throughput and low latency systems for event ingestionScalable rate limiting infrastructureScale and build out our AI infrastructureHelp support our dashboards and maintain the API health of our backendRequirements2+ years of industry experience working on backend infrastructure and APIsExperience with server-side web development (i.e. Java/Scala, Python, Golang, NodeJS)Experience building stateless RESTful APIsFamiliarity with computer science fundamentals such as data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, and threadingSelf-directed and comfortable working with ambiguityFamiliarity with SQL (MySQL) Databases and non-relational technologiesNice-to-havesExperience in Kubernetes or container-based environmentsExposure and experience dealing with production LLM technologiesStreaming infrastructure experience is a plusWhat we offerHealth care: we offer platinum-level medical, dental, and vision insuranceUnlimited PTO, sick leave, and parental leaveUp to $100 in reimbursement for personal health & wellness expenses each monthFree lunch and dinner401(k) plan
