Evaluate applicability and fit of solutions, and make recommendations. Assist in defining standards for virtualization technologies and best practices for their use.Essential Functions:Install, configure and manage a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructureProvide planning, installing, configuring, and upgrading support for vCenter Server and VMware ESX 5.X and 6.X. Plan and configure vSphere networking over distributed switching and storage solutions for datastoreDevelop plans for deploying and administering virtual machines and vAppsEstablish and maintaining service levels; perform basic troubleshooting; monitor vSphere implementations; and manage vCenter server alarmsManage the health of the vSphere appliance and perform upgrades and maintenanceConfiguring and managing virtual networks in NSXConfiguring and managing virtual Guests using Orchestrator, vMA CLI and vRealizeManage and balance virtual datastores in Storage DRS clustersManage and balance virtual guests resources across hosts in the clustersParticipate in Enterprise testing for integration of proposed new technologies to be included in the Enterprise design and develop test-related documentationDraft, coordinate, and finalize documentation to ensure the integration of virtualization within the EnterprisevDirector vCloud for hybrid AWS cloud integrationManage SRM for DR failoverParticipate in OpenStack discussions for the next generation of virtualization with cross-functional teams between engineering, networking and architectureProvide support for on-call dutiesEqual Opportunity Employer
