AHMG’s advanced practice providers manage the treatment and care for our patients in the practice setting, as well as at AdventHealth’s eleven campuses in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, AdventHealth for Children, East Orlando, Kissimmee, Orlando, Winter Park, Waterman, Winter Garden, and AdventHealth for Women.
Position
Full-time opportunity in an outpatient setting for a Clinical Social Worker, LCSW or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs.
Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (primary care, psychiatrist, other team members) to ensure coordinated care and treatment continuity.
Advocate for clients’ rights and access to resources, facilitating referrals to community sources and support services as needed.
Document in a timely and thorough manner.
Mostly adult and geriatric with some pediatric patients.
Receiving referrals for patients that have been diagnosed with neurological disorders.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with care team.
Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
Strong communication skills.
Strong medical decision-making skills.
Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
Schedule Details: Monday – Friday.
Location is downtown Orlando.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree as a LCSW or LMHC.
Geriatric psychiatry experience (preferred).
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION:
Current, valid Florida LCSW or LMHC license.
BLS & ACLS.
DEA License.
