Position Overview:This position is primarily responsible for the marketing, underwriting, and portfolio management of income-producing and stale residential real estate assets. The incumbent solicits, evaluates, authorizes, or recommends all aspects of the credit loan process of commercial, real estate, or mortgage loans. The incumbent advises borrowers on financial status and methods of payments and develops and manages the borrower’s Bank relationship, including cross-selling Bank services and products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Meet with clients and prospects to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options available and the terms of those services.
Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans.
Request and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, background, financial statements, and other financial information.
Submit applications to credit analysts for verification and recommendation.
Negotiate payment arrangements with customers who have delinquent loans.
Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans.
Market bank products to individuals and firms, cross-selling bank services that may meet customers' needs.
Review and update credit and loan files, ensuring that loan agreements are complete and accurate.
Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:Minimum Education:
BA or BSMinimum Years Experience:
7Special Skills:
Excellent project management, communication, customer service, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Word (Basic), MS Excel (Intermediate), and MS PowerPoint (Basic). Experience in an equivalent lending or banking position.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, and experience in community and civic activities.
