They will have demonstrated success in producing results, executing on synthetic routes to target molecules, analytical data interpretation, and troubleshooting reactions/purifications.The candidate will show an increasingly independent ability to design synthetic routes, understand medicinal chemistry concepts, and interpret biological data such that they are able to generate testable hypotheses and design and synthesize analogues. Good communication skills and a naturally collaborative style are necessary for effective drug discovery team participation.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of academic or industry experiencePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 2+ years industry research experience or Master's DegreeA strong commitment to experimental work - skilled in multi-step synthesis, route design, purification, and characterization of organic compoundsExperience with HPLC, NMR, flash chromatography, LCMS instrumentation and interpretationExperienced with SciFinder, Chemdraw, Mestra Nova and other chemistry-related softwareStrong desire to embrace the fundamentals of Medicinal ChemistryA team player who works effectively within a multidisciplinary organizationExcellent written and oral communication skillsCompensation:The starting compensation for this job is a range from $79,000 - $95,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
