MHM is an independent CPA firm that provides audit, review, and attest services, while CBIZ provides business consulting, tax, and financial services.We are seeking a candidate with national firm public accounting audit experience to join our rapidly growing New England Investment Companies attest practice. This expanding practice requires a candidate to demonstrate in-depth technical audit and accounting expertise (including understanding of accounting framework under ASC 946, complex partners' capital structuring, sophisticated investment valuation modeling, and other areas unique to the investment company space) combined with a strong passion for relationship development, experience working with both on and offshore audit team members, and a drive to accelerate growth while providing unmatched client service.Essential Functions and Primary DutiesResults-oriented mindset focused on meeting all client/regulatory deadlinesDevelop and maintain strong client/fund administrator relationshipsDevelop junior team members on nuances to the industry to accelerate the ability to grow the practiceAbility to collaborate with other service lines, including with our tax private equity co-sourcing group, advisory, and portfolio company assurance practicesDemonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client management responsibilitiesResponsible for new client development in partnership with upper managementThe ability to effectively collaborate with both remote and offshore audit resourcesMinimum Qualifications RequiredBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field6 years experience in public accounting or related field3 years supervisory experienceMust have CPA or equivalent certificationAbility to manage all aspects of client engagementsDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organizationProficient use of applicable technologyThe annual salary target for this job in this market is $105,000-$155,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
