Sr. Vertical Marketing Manager - Cell and Gene Therapy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vertical Marketing Manager for our Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) Business. This role requires an individual with the ability to analyze data and extract valuable insights, as well as develop effective marketing strategies and implement targeted campaigns.The successful candidate will conduct market and competitor research to gain deep insights into the industry. With this knowledge, they will develop marketing strategies and implement campaigns to drive growth in cell and gene therapy modalities, customer segments, and geographies.To excel in this role, you must have detailed knowledge of the cell therapy and gene therapy fields, demonstrate proactive leadership and management skills to actively engage and form partnerships with cross-divisional market insights, marketing, and commercial teams to gather valuable feedback on market trends and competitive dynamics, ensuring that our strategies remain aligned with the evolving landscape.The successful candidate will dedicate 25% of their time to customer and competitor insights, which they will then communicate to the organization in a way that inspires internal change. The remaining 75% will be focused on generating targeted marketing strategies and campaigns to drive business growth.Overall, we are looking for a driven and innovative Senior Vertical Marketing Manager who can apply their technical expertise and marketing knowledge to propel our Cell and Gene Therapy Business forward.What will you do?
Lead efforts to compile global and regional macroeconomic and customer segment data as part of the strategic annual planning process.Perform deep dives into the cell and gene therapy market using secondary and primary research and customer interviews to provide the marketing and commercial vertical team with intelligence on customer needs, market trends, growth opportunities, and threats.Track, analyze and report on market dynamics including regulations, funding, investments, regional variances (including emerging markets), competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and therapeutic modalities. Collaborate with market intelligence teams to efficiently gather insights, prepare, and submit monthly/quarterly reports to management.Use CGT customer, market, and competitor insights to formulate strategic marketing plans.Develop and implement tactical marketing plans including segment, workflow, and competitive campaigns highlighting cross-divisional solutions to drive business growth.Ensure campaign metrics demonstrate program efficiency of marketing activities and drive the intended demand.Leverage customer pipeline data and purchasing information to find opportunities (in collaboration with Commercial and Data Science teams). Enable targeted marketing tactics, sales recommendations, and monitor the impact.Leverage strategic priorities, new products, and current portfolio strength to influence technical content themes.Partner with Product Management, Vertical Marketing, and Regional Marketing Managers to develop and deliver sales training and support materials.Engage varying levels of internal and external personnel including direct customer communication, KOL engagement, and management.Effectively collaborate with cross-divisional marketing and application science teams to ensure key products are highlighted using the most current data and technical content.Keys to Success
Education
A bachelor's degree in biology, immunology, biochemistry, bio-medical engineering, or a related field.An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.Experience
2+ years’ experience in the life science or bioprocess industry with a focus on cell therapy/gene therapy.5+ years of experience in marketing and marketing strategy required. Product management, business development, or management consulting experience.Demonstrated experience in CGT vertical strategy development.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
