The Senior Electrical Superintendent is responsible for planning and oversight of all aspects of Electrical Contracting assigned to the project. This includes the pre-planning for all stages of the project (from pre to post construction). The Senior Electrical Superintendent works diligently to meet all goals set for the specific project and manage all field operational duties. Works directly for the Sr. Project Superintendent of the project with direct reports of any other superintendent assigned to Electrical work as well as Subcontractors.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required15+ years of construction-related experience (15 is minimum for National Supers)Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skillsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, innovative and forward thinkingOversee multiple Superintendents and/or Assistants on larger scale projectsAssist with Human Development by mentoring Superintendents, Assistants, and Foremen through various training programs both internally and externally.Demonstrated experience initiating and driving continuous improvementCurrent OSHA 30 certificationMaster Electrician/Current Senior Superintendent of Electrical Subcontractor or Sr. Superintendent for GC.High level understanding of complex Electrical systems for Healthcare, large Commercial, Advanced Technology (FAB, Pharma, Data)Level of understanding of Controls System (preferred)Preferred QualificationsTwo or four-year degree in construction-related field or Master Electrician15+ years of field-related experienceOffice and TravelMust be willing to travel regularlyResponsibilities and TasksManage all Pre-Construction related tasks including building crisis management plan, site logistics plan, site-specific rules and regulations, and safety plan.Manage and oversee all McGough field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers engaged in assigned projects. This includes conducting daily huddles, job site coordination, and delivery of materials.Ability to develop, manage, and implement the project schedule as designed and adjust as necessary. Work closely with Project Management team to ensure schedule remains updated.Oversee multiple Superintendents and/or Assistants on larger scale projectsAssist in adjusting field labor from one project to anotherOrganize and facilitate Superintendent meetingsAssist with Human Development by mentoring Superintendents, Assistants, and Foremen through various training programs both internally and externally.Work with Project Management team as needed throughout the project including selecting subcontractors, writing RFIs (requests for information), developing and tracking procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.Work with Quality Control team to ensure project-specific requirements are met.Ensure all on-site documentation including drawings, logs, and inspection books are updated and current.Ensure alignment of budget set for the project including labor, materials, and equipment. Work with Project Management team to address issues as they arise.Work closely with Project Management team to ensure all project closeout tasks are completed. This includes punchlist execution, commissioning, final inspections, owner training, etc.Provide intentional leadership for project team in the areas of Lean methodologies being employed onsite, standard work, and Pull-Plan sessions.Drive a safe environment by leading activities including job safety meetings and orientations. Ensure all OSHA and other required rules and regulations are met.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design team, and subcontractors.Support and follow standard workParticipate and support the implementation of Lean and continuous improvement cultureFoster strong partnerships with fellow McGough employeesPhysical RequirementsThe physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
