Description & RequirementsWe are looking for a Manager to join our team in the Outsourced Accounting Services group. This is an excellent role to expand your knowledge of accounting operations and gain exposure to business development activities.How you will contribute:
Formally assess a client's current accounting system and business functionsMake recommendations for improvement in various aspects of a company's financial operationsImplement recommendations to a client's systemAssist clients with management reporting, including budgeting, KPIs, and other metrics, including internal review of such reportsResearch, discovery, and creation of new business technologies to streamline and grow the practice including opportunities with existing clientsLead a team of Outsourced Accounting professionals, including ongoing teaching, training, and professional developmentParticipate in the proposal process for prospective clientsRepresent Forvis Mazars in the professional and business communityWe are looking for people with Forward Vision and:
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlinesExcellent presentation and communication skills targeted to effectively present information to C-level management, public groups, and/or board of directorsThe ability to clearly and concisely emphasize key objectivesAptitude and passion for learning new software(s) and other technologiesThe ability and awareness to recognize when an approach is not effective and can pivot to a new approach seamlesslyDesire to teach and train team membersAbility to travel as needed (to client locations, Forvis Mazars practice offices, and/or conferences)Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting, organizational accounting operations including accounting system operations, financial statement preparation, and supervision of accounting, payroll, and sales tax functionsAbility to learn to navigate several accounting packages and add-on platformsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with accounting software(s), monthly/period processing and closing, financial statement analysis and preparationCPA, CGMA, or CMA certificateQuickBooks Online Advanced CertificationSage Intacct user experience and Accounting Specialist CertificationBusiness development experience
