As the Data Insights & Development Director, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission, and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to the Pastor of Central Ministries and are responsible for strategically aligning SBC’s operations with the church’s vision and strategy for the Rock Relational Management System (RockRMS).
Responsibilities:
Partner with RockRMS Consultants and Ministry Leadership to develop, configure, manage data, and influence relational information strategies that meet SBC ministry and department needs. Create, plan, and manage Rock RMS FY budget. Lead a RockRMS Database team to complete needed tasks and projects. Develop workflows to automate organizational processes. Configure RockRMS to intake, analyze, and display church participation data to improve the daily functions and relationships for SBC’s ministry and support department staff. Interact with and empower ministries and support departments with RockRMS driven processes, events, and reporting. Create reports and dashboards with SQL queries. Maximize the relational impact of RockRMS for the entire congregation. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and procedures on RockRMS system additions and changes. Manage policies and procedures related to data security and integrity. Manage system and security access for employees and volunteers. Ensure project and department milestones and goals are met on time and within budget. Assess current and projected database functionality and make recommendations. Provide training documentation and guidelines for end users as needed. Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices for church management software (ChMS). Partner with the Communications and Web team on implementing the SBC website functionality and integration with RockRMS. Provide relational support to staff, volunteers, and program participants as needed. Team Leadership:
Act as a servant leader by training, encouraging, coaching, and developing your Team Member(s). Foster a spirit of trust and innovation on your team. Meet personally in a pre-scheduled one-on-one meeting with each Team Member at least once a month. Conduct annual performance reviews. Approve PTO requests, timecards, and expense reports. Skills Needed:
Knowledge of Rock RMS and ChMS. Demonstrated competency in supervising and developing employees and business processes. Writing SQL queries and reports. Creating, developing, implementing, leading, and driving strategies and projects through to completion. Relational skills, such as demonstrating valuing people, aspiring to serve others, fostering a healthy and amiable spiritual environment, being approachable and accessible, working collaboratively with others, and showing appreciation for own and others’ giftedness. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Personal Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, and earned degrees and/or related training and certifications. 3+ years of experience in or closely related ChMS clientele.
