Join our growing team today!We have an excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer in our Prestress Division!Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Reviewing and understanding contract plans and specificationsPrepare calculations and drawings for precast productsWork with Engineering Manager and Drafting Technicians in support of sales and production targets and schedulesSupport installation of engineered building structures and bridge productsWork on various engineering projects in support of sales as well as continuous improvements in manufacturing, process, shipping, handling and installationWork with the Quality Control Department to ensure precast products are manufactured in accordance with Knife River Quality Control Program and Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) standardsUnderstand, use, and maintain/update department standardsPerform quality control reviews on internal and external drawings and calculationsManage communication and planning between external design consultants and internal Project ManagersAssure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observedOther duties assigned as neededHours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but may vary depending on work-load. Work from home options may be available.Compensation:

$5,833-$8,333/MonthlyMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural EngineeringRegistered Professional Engineer, or able to obtain within 3 yearsAutoCAD 2018 or higher experience preferred - 3D Modeling is a plus (Revit, Inventor)Must possess the ability to read and interpret sketchesAbility to read construction plans (Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEP)Good verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Software (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, MathCAD, etc.)Self-starter, motivated with ability to start and finish a project on timeAbility to interact with customers, manager, engineers, drafters and other employees to resolve engineering and management related issuesAttention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize is a mustAbility to work flexible shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and overtimeDisplay a professional and courteous attitude towards all team membersFull-time employees are eligible for the following benefits:
