The School of Family & Consumer Sciences seeks to develop a pool of candidates for postdoctoral scholars (post-doc) positions in the fields of Consumer Sciences, Family & Consumer Sciences, Fashion Merchandising, Human Development and Family Sciences, Interior Design, and Nutrition. A post-doc is a professional appointment designed to provide recent doctoral degree recipients with an opportunity to gain experiences and skills that will advance their careers. A post-doc works under the supervision and sponsorship of a regular faculty member, who serves as a mentor to the post-doc. The appointment involves substantial and full-time commitment to research, scholarship, training, and/or other professional activities. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need.Required Qualifications:
Recently awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., D.Sc., M.D.).Preferred Qualifications:
Previous research and manuscript drafting experience is preferred.Application Procedures:
