Description We are currently seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer for our fast-paced Optical Service Center located in Brooklyn Park, MN. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!

Job Summary The Continuous Improvement Engineer in our manufacturing facility is responsible for the continuous improvement including analyzing, evaluating and supporting implementation of process improvements, providing tactical coaching to improve processes, and developing and promoting an environment of constant improvement. The position partners with leadership, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, sourcing, finance, training, and quality assurance to drive standardization and sustainability of new processes. Position Specifics: Analyzing, evaluating and supporting implementation of process improvements, providing tactical coaching to maximize efficiencies. Provide tactical coaching on Lean Methodology/Concepts and Continuous Improvement techniques, tools, and methods (Six Sigma). Create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement by actively managing projects to improve overall KPIs. Manage production issues, yield performance analysis and drive improvement plans. Manage Kaizen events, waste reduction, improvement yields, 6S, Standard work instruction development, and quality initiatives. Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data. Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes. Develop and propose best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. Drive standardization and sustainability after implementation of new processes. Guarantee all documentation is completed (e.g., procedures/SOPs, checklists, visual aids). Audit all changes and new processes to ensure adherence to standards. Define corrective actions based on the results of the audit(s). Experience/Qualifications High School diploma, GED or equivalent and previous optical laboratory environment or experience commensurate with department functions. Must be able to perform to high levels of competency all aspects of lab manufacturing. Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Excellent leadership skills; with ability to maintain an even workflow and a motivating work environment. Keyboard and PC skills required; specifically Digital Vision Inc. (DVI) optical manufacturing software. The
