Senior GIS Project Manager

As a Senior GIS Project Manager with Resource Data, you'll manage projects to develop and design geospatial data and geospatial solutions that elevate enterprise geospatial systems efficiency, performance, and value. You’ll join a team of technical consultants to provide solutions for our clients' most challenging enterprise geospatial problems. You’ll coordinate between internal GIS and development teams and client project teams to build integrated web mapping applications across major enterprise systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops project charters, budgets, plans, and overall scope for GIS web applications, automated workflows, and databasesLiaise between client and internal project teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of defined scopes and budgetLead and direct teams of GIS programmers, analysts, software developers, business analysts, testers, and architects to deliver on client projectsMitigate risks and proactively identify and resolve project issuesCollaborate with the GIS Community of Practice to mentor junior analysts, participate in technical working/learning sessions, and develop internal GIS initiativesBasic Qualifications5+ years' experience leading software development projects on Agile teams5+ years' experience with geospatial data management, development, and maintenanceExperience working with ESRI suite of GIS products such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, or other GIS toolsProven ability to manage projects with $100k+ budgetsProficiency with project management planning and reporting toolsExperience writing user stories and gathering technical requirementsPreferred Qualifications1+ years' experience in a client-facing roleProficient with complex GIS concepts such as Geometric Networks, Topology, Spatial Joins, Spatial ProjectionsPMP certification is a plusFederal consulting experience a plus
