We have an opening for a DevOps Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization supporting delivery of Satellite Ground Systems solutions into NG and customer environments. This position will be in
Dulles, VA , with some percentage in a SCIF. Job Responsibilities In this role you will: Work with stakeholders to deliver software solutions onto complex OpenStack and hybrid-cloud systems consisting of 750 to 1500 nodes, deployed in 6+ environments with an eye toward current requirements and future needs
Automate system deployment, operation, patching, compliance, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling
Evangelize digital transformation and cloud tooling use both internally within Northrop Grumman and with our customers
Collaborate with DevOps teams on other similar programs
Lead program Infrastructure team: play a mentoring role to cross-train, grow technical talent across DevOps team, assist in troubleshooting tasks, and impart vision to team and leadership
Document procedures to impart consistent, repeatable processes
To be successful in this role you should demonstrate most of the following: Proven experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration, with recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions
Demonstrable experience designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions
Extensive experience of administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems within large corporate environments
Extensive experience of designing, deploying, and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs and VPNs
Experience of automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Terraform
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and shifting priorities
Proven troubleshooting skills and willingness to take on unfamiliar challenges
3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, & Ansible
3+ years of experience in Linux tools/automation and shell scripting
3+ years of experience in Python
1+ years of experience with OpenStack management
3+ years of experience with Docker containerization, Kubernetes (K8s) preferred
3+ years of experience with continuous integration/deployment tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
3+ years creating, executing, and troubleshooting complex, automated processes used to configure servers and/or deploy code
In this role, you will be the infrastructure technical lead for a team of DevOps Automation Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers and System Administrators. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 20 years of experience; OR a master's degree and 18 years; OR a PhD and 15 years. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
12+ year(s) of DevOps or software development experience
7+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives and Jira metrics reporting
U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top-Secret clearance.
