As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - MES.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience with MES software to include managing electronic work processes and instructions.
- Experience with MES software and computerized systems in manufacturing to track and document the transformation of (inbound) materials to finish goods.
- Responsibility includes supporting activities such as gathering, defining, and application, test, and implementation of MES.
- Provide technical leadership, support, project management and troubleshooting assistance of Pinpoint MES System.
- Must have experience with managing and improving processes, tact times and work balancing.
- Responsible to lead line balancing and process changes for current and future operations.
- Manage multiple engineering projects that support plant operations. These projects will range from process improvements to development and installation of new tooling.
- Represent CLI in a professional manner with customers and suppliers at all levels of their organization.
- Active leader in problem solving analysis and developing irreversible corrective actions of quality issues.
- Teach, lead, and continuously improve all areas of the business.
- Interface with all aspects of operations including quality, materials, and maintenance
Ability to be flexible. - Understand CLI operations (Sequencing/sub -assembly, shipping and receiving)
Interface with CLI plant liaisons on a daily basis regarding any issues. - Follow and improve the CLI business systems.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
- Effectively interact with, lead, and develop people.
- Work very closely with the other engineers to ensure continuity.
- Able to work with and effectively communicate with operators on the floor as well as CLI Management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering. Masters Degree preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD and MES systems are required.
- Must have a minimum of (2) two years in Manufacturing Execution Software configuration and support.
- Experience with Pinpoint MES or comparable Manufacturing Execution Software systems.
- Experience with Emerging Technologies to include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Vision Systems.
- Lead implementation activities for new or changing processes and systems.
- Must have experience with time and motion studies and line balancing techniques.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritize workload and be committed to continuous process improvement.
- A minimum of (3) three years of experience in assembly and/or manufacturing and demonstrated success as a person who solves problems.
- A minimum of (3) three years of experience with APQP/IATF/ISO.
- VAA or manufacturing experience is required.
- Plant and assembly cell layout.
- Experience with Elemental Time Studies and Value Stream Mapping.
- Start-Up, Equipment Installation and Launch experience required.
- Experience with PLC.
- Understanding and experience of assembly, tooling, equipment, and ROBOTICS.
- Tier 1 automotive experience is highly preferred.
- Sub-assembly and Sequencing experience are required.
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel 75% (+) based on business needs, providing multi-location support.
