Attorney (Intellectual Property Counsel)

Bio-Rad Laboratories is looking for an in-house corporate intellectual property counsel to support its global Life Sciences Group. This position reports to the VP, Asst. General Counsel Intellectual Property.
How You’ll Make An Impact:
Developing and managing company patent portfolio.
Providing trademark advice.
Analyzing third party patents, freedom-to-operate studies.
Drafting and negotiating intellectual property licensing agreements.
IP due diligence.
IP monetization strategy.
IP training and counseling.
What You Bring:
Education: A JD from an accredited Law School is required. Degree in a Life Science field is an added benefit.
Work Experience: 5-7 years of Intellectual Property Law experience in a law firm or corporation is required.
Previous in-house experience in a life science or clinical diagnostics company desired.
Strong communications and negotiation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, working well with clients and colleagues.
Compensation:
The estimated base salary range for this position is $149,000 to $204,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
