Millennium’s part-time General Counsel will play a pivotal role in our mission by helping promote business goals while minimizing risk to the company. As General Counsel, you will be part of a smart, collaborative team who works on all things Corporate and will also contribute to the review and negotiation of Millennium’s employment related agreements, real estate leases, vendor, and other contracts. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll report to the Chief Compliance Officer.What You’ll Do

Participating in the review, policy and governance processes, working with business, risk and compliance partners across the organizationSupport corporate initiatives and manage/collaborate on engagements with outside counsel for other special projectsAdvising the business on SEC, FINRA, MSRB and SRO laws, rules and regulations, with a particular focus on broker-dealer rules and regulations applicable to transactions of self-clearing broker dealersAdvising the businesses on CFTC rules and regulations and ISDA transaction documentation.Keeping apprised of relevant laws and regulations and advising the businesses on current and/or proposed rules and regulationsReview and advise on Millennium’s inputs in the SEC and FINRA reporting processes, as well as any regulatory inquiriesPartner with our Treasury and Finance teams to provide requested advice and support their contracting needsSupervise subsidiary formation/maintenance work by our outside partners and be primarily responsible for certain corporate governance and other legal entity matters, including subsidiary board actions and intercompany agreementsSupport the continuous improvement of internal workflows, review processes, and other legal policies and operationsReview and manage outside counsel on specific legal actions, immigration sponsorships, and corporate organization documents, etc.What’s Great About The Role
