to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds, and progressive visionaries together in our Department of Family Medicine team at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center - Mercy, in Charlotte, NC.The Department of Family Medicine at Atrium Health is seeking an Academic Hospitalist for our medical school affiliated medical center, CMC Mercy Hospital.
Responsibilities include hospital-based patient care, teaching, and supervision of family medicine and psychiatry residents and students from the Wake Forest School of Medicine.Position Highlights:1.0 FTE (0.9 Hospital / 0.1 Education)Provide hospital-based patient care as the Attending PhysicianFaculty responsibilities will include teaching, evaluating, and supervision of family medicine and psychiatry residents and medical students, serving as an advisor for residents, and possibly developing curriculumAccess to faculty professional development, additional system level care management resources, and virtual technologyOpportunities for scholarly work as part of core facultyHome night call required - approximately 1-2 times/monthProximity to our main campus at Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center and Uptown CharlotteIdeal Candidate:Prior experience in hospital settingsPrior experience in educationWhen you join the Atrium Health Family Medicine Department, you will be welcomed into an inclusive culture that celebrates and respects the contributions a diverse team can make together.
