This challenging yet rewarding role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the estimating process for large-scale commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ground-up commercial construction, estimating, and project management, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a dynamic and innovative team, working on some of the most exciting commercial construction projects in the industry.Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the estimating process for large commercial construction projects, from initial concept to final bid submission. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather all necessary information for accurate estimating. Utilize advanced software tools such as Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam for estimating and project management tasks. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential challenges and develop contingency plans. Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials. Participate in the negotiation and awarding of contracts. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and construction techniques to ensure competitive bidding. Present estimates and conduct bid reviews with senior management. Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on large-scale projects. Proven track record in project estimating, with experience in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating. Exceptional knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends. Proficiency in estimating and project management software, including Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex information and deliver accurate estimates. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and conditions. Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Professional Estimator Certification (e.g., CPE, PMP) is a plus.Interested in hearing more?
