The Marketing Director will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies, policies, programs and campaigns for the organization.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and management staff in the department.Oversees the daily workflow of the department, including on-premise staff, remote teams, and contract marketing staff.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Duties/Responsibilities:

Directs and implements the organization’s advertising and promotional activities for in-store and online marketing initiatives.Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches, customers, and demand for products.Partners with Procurement and eComm leaders in conducting market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of products.Identifies new market segments that will benefit from company products.Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.Maintains knowledge on trends and services for marketing.Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department’s operating budget.Composes, develops, evaluates, and conducts training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.Negotiates contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Thorough understanding of market developments.Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Strong background in social media and traditional media.Experience in writing ad copy.Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.At least five years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required.Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
