You will work collaboratively with stakeholders from all areas in our business. You will prepare, review and negotiate contracts and provide legal advice to our business units.ResponsibilitiesPreparing, reviewing and negotiating a variety of legal contracts and commercial agreements to ensure accuracy and complianceProviding legal advice on corporate, commercial, data security, IP, licensing and litigationManaging risk through training and coaching of business partners and implementation of efficient contract governance processesCommunicating legal issues to business clients in an effective and succinct mannerIntegrating legal and business knowledge to effectively develop practical business solutionsKeeping up-to-date with developments and changes in laws and regulations to ensure complianceRequirementsHave a Juris Doctorate and be licensed to practice law in the United States or Canada3+ years post-call experienceDemonstrate experience in either an in-house legal department or law firm environmentShow excellent judgment and analytical skills and the ability to assess risk and provide practical adviceHave experience in a wide range of general corporate or commercial legal areasShow a keen interest in learning and adapting to change and new technologiesHave excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across the businessWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization, with various flexible and remote working options available to employees.Working with UsLexisNexis Legal & Professional is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
