Yours included.This person will prepare, maintain, and communicate daily with all staff interpreters to ensure provision of service of all linguistic needs for outpatient and inpatient requests. They may also schedule freelance/staff interpreters, and coordinate special requests.This Interpreter Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for:

Scheduling interpreters to cover outpatient and inpatient linguistic requests according to interpreter schedule and departmental policies and procedures. Communicates with clinical and secretarial staff to obtain needed linguistic information, coordinates and confirm schedules and identify special requirements for linguistic needs.Recording data of all linguistic requests and confirmation of interpreter coverage.Reviewing and verifying accuracy of basic patient information regarding linguistic requests.Printing, assigning and distributing schedules to designated interpreter(s) as needed.Identifying languages for accuracy and provision of services.Working with medical and secretarial staff to monitor and evaluate interpreter performance, and developing strategies to promote efficient utilization of linguistic services.Responding to requests from patients/parents, visitors and hospital staff, regarding inquiries on how to best address linguistic requests.Identifying any problems and taking appropriate corrective action.Providing positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.To qualify, you must have:
