to join our team in Suffolk County, Massachusetts!Our Detention Diversion Advocacy Program (DDAP) is a voluntary intervention alternative to court-ordered detention, providing young people with community-based support and supervision. DDAP strives to reduce the disproportionate number of minority youth arraigned through the court system, offering an opportunity to reverse their path to juvenile crime and helping them live to their fullest potential.Who We SeekWe are seeking a dynamic individual to be part of our team providing youth support and advocacy in the Suffolk County communities. This position requires supervising Youth Advocates and managing a small caseload. The Program Coordinator will ensure proper service delivery, monitor outreach for quality assurance, and continue to strengthen community partnerships.Key Areas of ResponsibilityEnsures that services are consistently delivered with a high level of quality and efficiencyTrains, supervises and evaluates Youth Advocates and internsEstablishes and maintains strong professional relationships with stakeholders within the juvenile courts, police departments, district attorney's offices, parents, schools, state agencies, and community resourcesCarries a small caseload of youth and facilitates individual and group activitiesCoordinates services for youth in areas such as clinical, substance abuse, educational, vocational/employment, recreational, and community serviceCoordinates family support groups and promotes family involvementServes as liaison with referral sources and administers program intake activitiesDemonstrates and integrates cultural sensitivity while working with a diverse client population and their familiesParticipates in the interviewing and hiring of Youth AdvocatesProvide weekly supervision to Youth Advocates and facilitates weekly staff meetingsSupervise day-to-day operations, which include quality assurance with Youth Advocates/DDAP ProgramConduct intakes as needed and/or assign intake to a Youth AdvocateProvide written documentation and support for the Agency's program quality assurance processesAssist youth in developing individualized goals and tracking progress on said goalsUtilize risk assessment tool for each youth to determine riskImplement Trauma-Informed Care treatment philosophies of the agencyProvide monitoring, crisis support, linkage to other programs, and overall problem-solving assistance and advocacy on behalf of the youth served by the programOrganize regular case conferencing meetings when necessary with all invested parties in the best interest of the youthMaintain database including case management system, intake, assessment, and referral systemsComply with treatment directives of the Director and identify other resources when necessaryParticipate in ongoing training as it relates to general duties and professional developmentPerform any other duty assigned by the Director that falls within the scope of the positionShiftFull-time, flexible work schedule.Who You AreYou are someone with a personal interest in, and commitment to, working with adolescent youth. You have a positive attitude and belief in the hope of successful outcomes for youth otherwise marginalized by disability, trauma, socio-economic status, or race.
