Pharmacist Clinical Content Manager

to join our epocrates Medical Information team. This team of dedicated pharmacists, physicians, pharmacy technicians, and medical editors creates the essential clinical content for epocrates, the #1 medical application among U.S. physicians that more than 1 million healthcare professionals trust to support their moment-of-care decisions. We are ideally looking to fill this full-time remote position in our geographically dispersed virtual team.Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):95%: Leverage your drug information analysis skills and writing ability together with your clinical practice and/or residency experiences to create clinical drug content that supports moment-of-care decisions.Develop high-quality, concise drug monographs geared toward healthcare professionals.Manage clinical drug content across multiple therapeutic areas, adhering to epocrates editorial standards for accurate, timely, and unbiased content.Distill complex information from multiple sources into essential elements relevant to clinicians at the point of care.Conduct in-depth literature research and analysis to develop content for our core drug reference and drug interaction checker.Collaborate with other Medical Information team members on clinical content projects.5%: Collaborate with othersWork cross-functionally with Product, User Experience, R&D, and Marketing teams to ensure content integrity and optimal presentation for healthcare professionals.Provide drug information and clinical consultative support to other business units.Education & Experience Required:PharmD degree.Active pharmacist license (any state).3-5+ years of clinical practice experience across various settings and therapeutic areas.Strong drug information retrieval and evaluation skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems creatively, communicate confidently, and collaborate effectively.Exceptional clinical decision-making and analytical judgment skills.Meticulous attention to detail.Strongly Preferred:Clinical pharmacy practice residency - Ambulatory Care specialty preferred.BPS board certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or Ambulatory Care (BCACP).Clinical and/or drug information experience in Ambulatory Care and Pain Management therapeutic areas.Medical editing/writing experience - authoring, editing, and peer reviewing drug content relied upon by clinicians at the point of care.Knowledge & Skills:Broad clinical pharmacy knowledge and sharp clinical decision-making skills acquired through several years of clinical practice.Clinical pharmacy practice experience across a variety of settings and therapeutic areas, especially ambulatory care, is highly valued.Excellent communication skills.Ability to manage numerous detail-intensive, interdependent, and time-sensitive tasks and ensure the accurate completion of the same.Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others to achieve desired results.Equal Employment Opportunity:athenahealth is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity—that’s why we recruit and hire applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic information, gender identity, gender expression, or any other factor prohibited by law.
