Castro & Company, LLC is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic

Marketing and Events Specialist

to join our team. You will be responsible for creating content and managing the Company’s social media presence, working industry conferences, planning and executing Firm events and facilitating recruitment marketing and employee recognition and engagement programs.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a versatile creative writer, a team player, quick thinker, and be able to thrive in a multi-tasking environment. Your passion for marketing and event planning will result in adopting and implementing marketing best practices across all social media channels to target audiences and facilitating the attendance or execution of high-profile industry and Firm events.

Responsibilities will include:

Developing social media content plans consistent with the Company’s brand.

Creating consistent, meaningful content for Company website and social media platforms, including writing and editing posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting marketing campaigns.

Managing communication with social media followers, including coordinating responses with the Firm’s Leadership in a prompt manner.

Using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the Company’s social media presence and performance.

Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in marketing and social media.

Managing industry conferences: Registrations, booth set up and dismantle, networking, etc.

Creating and managing internal/external marketing campaigns, updating/creating various marketing materials for distribution at industry conferences, creating/updating marketing materials to be used for current and potential clients.

Tracking events attendance and collaborating with Executive Leadership on strategic marketing follow up.

Partner with the HR & Recruiting team to promote the employer brand and engage students and candidates in Career Fairs and the hiring process.

Execute employee communications regarding new hire starts, birthdays and anniversary communications, Firm events, sporting events and company raffles.

Oversee planning and execution of annual Firm events.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.

Three to ten (3 to 10) years of marketing experience and events planning.

Marketing and events management for a professional services firm or federal government contractor experience preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated understanding of social media management and strategy.

Experience using Canva or similar content creator tool a plus.

Experience using various analytics software.

Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Ability to work and interact with members of the Executive Leadership Team.
