A law firm in Roseland, NJ, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney with 5-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing all phases of litigation, from the initial pleadings to trial and post-trial motions. The attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of complex litigation matters and must be capable of working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.Key Responsibilities:Manage all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, strategy development, and trial preparation.Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Conduct and defend depositions, including those of expert witnesses.Engage in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.Handle motion practice, including researching and drafting motions and supporting briefs.Represent clients in court appearances, including hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials.Collaborate with clients to develop litigation strategies aligned with their goals and objectives.Negotiate settlements when appropriate, balancing the client’s interests and the potential outcomes of continued litigation.Participate in mediations and arbitrations as required.Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of case files, client communications, and legal research.Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and paralegals as necessary.Stay current with developments in relevant legal fields to ensure effective representation of clients.Requirements:Experience:

Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in litigation, including experience in handling pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.Proven track record of managing cases from inception through trial and post-trial motions.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the New Jersey State Bar is required.Admission to the New York Bar is a plus but not mandatory.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.High level of proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reach favorable settlements.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
