Job Title: Director of Hardware EngineeringJob DescriptionThe Director of Hardware Engineering is responsible for leading and managing the Electrical Engineering team, and coordinating with the Test, RF, and Firmware teams. This role ensures the successful development and maintenance of hardware products. The Director will drive innovation, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure efficient project execution within the engineering department.Hard SkillsProven leadership experience in engineering, with a focus on electricalExperience in electrical designs containing cellular, Bluetooth, WiFi and GNSS systemsExperience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and managing PCB and PCBA samplesExperience with sustaining engineering and hardware lifecycle managementKnowledge of hardware test engineering, including building test systems using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom-made hardware, and measurements through LabVIEWUnderstanding of RF equipment and measurements, including network analyzers, CMW500, RF power meters, and spectrum analyzersKnowledge of antenna theory and measurements such as TRP, TIS, gain, and efficiencyExperience in wearable product development, including miniaturization, power management, and ergonomic designProficiency in C# and Python, as well as software design principles such as SOLID principles, dependency injection, MVC software architectures, and object-oriented programmingSoft SkillsExcellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsJob TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Greenwood Village, Colorado.Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
