Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer – Cyber Tools Specialist (24-228) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.
Essential Functions:
Hands-on experience utilizing patch management, scanning, auditing, security event monitoring, host-based security, and multi-factor tools in an integrated lab environment.
Excellent technical document preparation skills and verbal communication are required for presenting technical Cyber issues and reports to Agile Release Train (ART) leadership.
Support the Cyber Tools team as part of the Platform and Infrastructure (P&I) ART.
Documenting lessons learned, as well as the best security engineering practices and industry standards, will also be necessary for daily tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start.
5 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or related field; 3 years experience with a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline or related field; or 9 years experience in lieu of a degree.
Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
Experience deploying and testing Cyber Products (e.g., CyberArk, HBSS, ACAS, ArcSight, MFA, BigFix, Endgame, KMS, etc.) is required.
Must have Cyber Engineering skills like technical troubleshooting software applications and integrating COTS products, data analytics of system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, and risk mitigation resulting in system accreditation.
Must have strong knowledge of Cyber technology and DoD information assurance system certification.
Must have a working knowledge of implementing DISA STIGs and GPOs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agile Lifecycle utilizing Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a plus.
