The
Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)
provides medical support to children, under the direction of the Physician. Duties may include communicating with children of different abilities and developmental levels about their symptoms, talking to patients and their families about medical issues, and recording the child’s vital signs and lab results.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assessing a child's needs and providing initial careIdentifying changes in children's symptoms and intervening in emergency situationsParticipating in pain management for childrenAdminister medications, draw blood, and give childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelinesMonitor temperature, pulse, breathing, and blood pressure and keep accurate recordsEvaluate children for signs and symptoms of abuseProvide supportive care to dying childrenDeal with the anxieties and demands of parents and help families deal with their child’s illness or injuryRemain up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment proceduresWhat We're Looking For
Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.Must possess licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New JerseyAHA accredited BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)Previous Pediatric experience preferred.Must demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.What We Offer
