Position Summary:
The Head of Brand/Agency Sales is responsible for selling Telly advertising to agencies and brands directly. This role demands close collaboration with Ad Operations, Data & Measurement, Marketing, and Product teams, and will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented team player with experience in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. Keys to success in this role include having a deep network of agency and brand contacts, an ability to sell solutions that combine innovative advertising and reporting capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of programmatic and managed service executions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Pipeline Management:
Develop and maintain a sales pipeline; identify and qualify potential clients; use CRM tools to track opportunities
Client Relationship Management:
Build strong relationships with agencies and advertisers at the highest levels; act as a trusted advisor; provide regular updates and maintain communication
Sales Cycle Execution:
Guide clients through the entire sales process, conduct needs assessments, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts
Contract and Service Management:
Oversee managed services (IO) and programmatic buying options; ensure proper contract execution
Data and Reporting:
Work with data teams to develop insightful reporting for the advertiser’s campaigns and present performance reports to clients
Internal Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams for campaign execution; communicate client needs and expectations
Revenue Growth:
Strive to meet or exceed sales targets; identify upselling opportunities
Product Knowledge:
Maintain an understanding of Telly's advertising offerings; stay updated on industry trends; understand all aspects of the digital advertising ecosystem, including familiarity with SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, verification, and audience measurement companies
Qualifications:
7+ years of digital ad sales experience, exceeding revenue targets
Strong agency contacts and success with IO/programmatic buyers
Expertise in video ad tech, buying pathways, and supply path optimization
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Excellent presentation and organizational skills
Self-motivated problem-solver with team leadership experience
High integrity and empathy
Strong cross-departmental collaboration abilities
Adaptable to evolving industry trends
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in a high-growth startup environment.
Previous experience in ad tech, publisher and/or digital media company
