We're actively seeking a talented Director of Finance to join our client's dynamic team in San Diego, CA. The Director of Finance supports the acquisition and finance process by managing due diligence, preparing financial analysis, underwriting, and deal summaries, and monitoring proforma performance throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with brokers, developers, government entities, and lenders to facilitate opportunities in San Diego County. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and monitor financial models in Excel. Support underwriting, analysis, and execution of real estate acquisitions. Coordinate due diligence materials, budgets, financial models, and schedules. Produce project proposals and assist with transaction closings. Support the submission of funding applications and seek additional funding sources. Oversee budget tracking, financial reporting, and compliance submissions. Ensure project viability through budgeting and asset protection. Develop and present reports and performance dashboards. Participate in community development and affordable housing groups.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in affordable housing development and financing.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of real estate finance underwriting experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of federal programs for affordable multifamily properties.
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $150,000* *The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening. Our client ultimately may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future. Our client will consider job-related factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs when determining pay.
