Senior Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities:* This person will participate in the development and maintenance of the network security and cryptographic processing product suites* The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance or core platform modules of the appliances* This position requires software development skills focusing on embedded systems, system administration, scalability and performance* Ownership of significant areas of the code for both new feature/functionality development as well as to maintain/redesign of the existing areas of the products* Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of performance, availability & scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product
Job Requirements:* C programming on Linux environment* Strong problem solving and debugging skills* Familiar with system installations, configurations, and troubleshooting* Familiar with TCP/IP networking* Good knowledge of cryptography/PKCS is a plus* Good knowledge of Linux kernel is a plus* Good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Educational Requirements:* Bachelor's degree or advanced in CS, EE or similar fields
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$185,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.
Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
