architectural and engineering consulting firm
specializing in
building enclosure
design and consulting. They work with clients across the public and private sectors, solving complex building envelope issues and providing innovative solutions for
new construction
and
building restoration
projects. Their services include
waterproofing, façade restoration, roofing systems, performance testing , and
building enclosure commissioning .They are looking for a
Senior Building Enclosure Consultant
to join our expert team, providing leadership, project management, and technical expertise across a variety of challenging projects.Job Overview:
As the
Senior Building Enclosure Consultant , you will lead
design and consulting
efforts for a wide range of projects, including
building envelope assessments, restoration designs , and
new construction
projects. You will collaborate with our internal teams and external clients to ensure the successful completion of projects while adhering to performance, sustainability, and durability standards.Key Responsibilities:
Lead
investigations
and assessments of building enclosure systems, including roofing, cladding, waterproofing, and air barriers.Develop
detailed specifications
and
construction drawings
for both new and existing building enclosure systems.Manage
construction administration
for building envelope repair and restoration projects, ensuring quality control and project deadlines.Provide
building enclosure commissioning
services and performance testing.Oversee and mentor junior team members, providing
technical guidance
and
project oversight .Foster client relationships, manage client expectations, and provide strategic consulting to deliver project success.Participate in
business development
efforts, including proposal writing and cultivating new client relationships.Prepare and deliver detailed
technical reports , specifications, and documentation.Qualifications:
Licensed
Architect
or
Engineer
(preferred).Minimum of
7-10 years of experience
in
building enclosure consulting
or
architectural design
related to building exteriors.In-depth knowledge of building envelope systems, including
roofing, waterproofing, façade systems , and
air barriers .Familiarity with
building codes , industry standards, and
construction practices .Experience with
construction contract administration
and
quality assurance
inspections.Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD ,
Revit , and/or other design and documentation software.Exceptional
technical writing , verbal communication, and
presentation skills .Ability to work in the field, including travel to project sites.Strong project management skills with the ability to
multi-task , prioritize, and lead teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
building performance testing , such as water infiltration, air leakage, and thermal analysis.Familiarity with
historic building restoration .LEED certification
