Yale University Library ’s growing IT department
is seeking a Technical Lead for Archival Systems. Permanent, Full-Time (37.5hrs/wk), Business Hours Flexible work location, eligible for full remote work in approved US states, relocation benefits available for hybrid or on-site candidates Professional, Grade 25 ($77,400 - $130,900), experience-based, master’s degree not required The technical lead will partner with world-class librarians and technologists as Yale Library, located in New Haven, Connecticut, continues to cultivate our special collections, including the expanding Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Yale Library is investing heavily in its vast and diverse special collections and archives in support of its mission to advance teaching, research, and learning. This position, within the library’s IT department, exists to bridge the gaps between librarians, archivists, vendors, and developers. The Technical Lead ensures that IT is meeting the needs of our special collections. Day-to-day responsibilities may include troubleshooting public finding aid creation, consulting on new workflows or policies, coordinating ArchivesSpace plug-in development and maintenance, or representing Yale’s interests in the ArchivesSpace community. Successful applicants may have greater experience in library technology or in archives but will quickly gain dual proficiency.
