Bar admission is required.Duties:Provide legal counsel to domestic and international clients on complex expansion and relocation projects, including corporate headquarters, manufacturing facilities, datacenters, distribution centers, and large offices.Offer expertise in economic development for sectors including automotive, life sciences, and aviation.Oversee legal aspects of site selection, land acquisition, and development.Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to economic development and real estate transactions.Collaborate with clients, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and successful implementation.Conduct thorough legal research and stay current on economic development laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Develop and execute strategies to address legal and regulatory challenges in economic development.Advise on zoning, land use, incentives, and compliance issues to support project objectives.Requirements:JD from an accredited law school.Bar admission in Virginia.6-8 years of experience in economic development law with a focus on complex expansions and relocations.Proven experience managing large-scale projects related to corporate facilities and large offices.Experience in automotive, life sciences, and aviation sectors is highly preferred.Skills:Strong expertise in economic development law and regulatory compliance.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents for major development projects.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.Proficient in legal research and staying updated on relevant laws and regulations.
