Senior Pricing Analyst

to support the growth of Venable's strategic pricing capabilities as a critical, competitive advantage for profitable growth and top-tiered client service.The ideal candidate will be responsible for...Developing strategic pricing and budget models to respond to client proposals/RFPs, positioning the firm for success.Managing technical data-driven spreadsheets with complex pricing and rate expertise and analyses.Collaborating with Firm Leadership, Business Intake Committee, Business Development, and practitioners by identifying and implementing pricing alternatives for clients.Evaluating pricing requests in RFPs to formulate appropriate pricing responses, and work with the Business Intake Committee to formalize responses.Collaborating with Director of Practice Management and other functions of the department to monitor performance against client/matter budgets, tiered client fee structures, and other key performance metrics for pricing and performance monitoring.Collaborating with Business Insights and Data Scientists within Practice Management to identify areas for improved productivity and efficiency and provide recommendations for changes in service delivery aligned with practice group goals.Fulfilling all analytical requests pertaining to pricing and profitability; perform analyses in support of pricing decisions and support the firm's efforts to drive effective pricing strategies.Analyzing practice group financial performance along with key financial data points and KPIs, focused especially on revenue generation and profitability.Leading, planning, developing, and resourcing implementation of new firmwide pricing software.Serving as firmwide point of contact for pricing software questions, concerns, and troubleshooting.The successful candidate will demonstrate...A bachelor's degree in business/finance/economics or related field, or, any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience conducting financial and pricing analysis, preparing financial reports, and preparing/analyzing matter budget and proposal data.Familiarity with Aderant suite of products, preferred; exposure to Iridium Pricing/Budgeting or Financial Dashboard products, preferred; experience with Information Builders and SQL Server Reporting, preferred; experience in using data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI) a plus.Project Management experience, preferred; experience within legal industry highly desired.Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel skills (use of vertical and horizontal lookups, pivot tables and modeling) required.Experience with developing and managing budgets, reporting, and modeling; strong analytical and technical skills.Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form; ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.Pay Range for Candidates in Washington, DC:$89,000 - $125,000 per year. The range provided is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position.
