McGinnis Lochridge is seeking an experienced ERISA attorney to join our Labor & Employment practice group and advise and counsel the Firm’s clients on a broad range of employee benefit matters, including pension and retirement plans, group health plans, welfare benefit plans, stock option/stock grant plans, and executive compensation arrangements. This is a flexible opportunity and can be full-time if the candidate has a portable book of business or part-time, partnership track or non-partnership track.Key Responsibilities:Comprehensive knowledge of ERISA and Tax Code laws and regulations applicable to qualified and non-qualified pension and retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plans;Expertise in arrangements subject to 409A, 457(f), and top-hat plans;Understanding of group health plans, including the ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, HITECH, and GINA;Knowledge of various welfare benefit plans, including cafeteria plans, wellness plans, health FSAs, HSAs, dependent care arrangements, long-term and short-term disability plans, and life insurance plans and arrangements.Experience in advising fiduciaries on compliance and recent developments related to fiduciary obligations, and in representing plan sponsors in IRS and DOL correction programs and governmental audits is desired.Location:Our Labor & Employment attorneys are primarily located in our Dallas office, but the successful candidate may sit in our Dallas, Houston, or Austin office.How to Apply:Interested applicants should send a cover letter and resume to atty@mcginnislaw.com and type in the subject line: ERISA Attorney.McGinnis Lochridge is an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
