Knichel Logistics is seeking to add a full-time Pricing Coordinator in our Cranberry office to support the company's continued growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Pricing Coordinator, you will play a critical role working within the Rates department by acting as an extension of the Sales, Account Management, and Operations departments to maintain and grow the company's intermodal, truckload and LTL business units. Specializing in long term rates, the Pricing Coordinator will negotiate customer rate requests as well as coordinate and resolve route and rate exceptions in the freight process. The Pricing Coordinator will actively develop their knowledge of all railroad, drayage, and hazardous material rules.

Complete intermodal pricing requests from existing and potential new customers in accordance with assigned due dates and/or service level agreements.Assist in the preparation of Bid (RFP) and project pricing, ensuring that rates are accurate, competitive and submitted within the customers timeline requirements.Ensure compliance with operational policies prior to pricing business (examples include validating the commodity is not restricted/prohibited, identifying specific geographic areas that are restricted due to embargos, capacity, etc.)Communicate and develop a rapport with internal and external stakeholders to include customers, vendors, sales and account managementCollaborate with management and peers to identify best practices to provide continuous improvement in the quality of pricing activities that will lead to improved win ratios and profitability.Assist Pricing team with maintaining rate and pricing files, as neededSupport Operations with routing options and accounting in rate discrepancies.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

EDUCATION

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: College degree and/or coursework related to Logistics, Business Management, Information Technology, or similar.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

Required: None

Preferred: Any professional certification related to Logistics, Business Management, Information Technology, or similar.

EXPERIENCE

Required: A minimum of one year experience in customer service, operations, and/or account management type functions.

Preferred: One year of logistics, customer service, and/or pricing experience.
