Strategic Account Manager

covering the

Illinois

area. The

Strategic Account Manager (SAM)

role is responsible for implementing the direct sales process with selected Strategic Accounts and helping build a sales culture to support large growers with the Pioneer sales team. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the geography listed above. If hired, you may be required to travel as necessary to support business activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducting business analysis of assigned grower segment and accountsExecuting comprehensive call strategy in collaboration with the Sales TeamNegotiating & coordinating value proposition deliveryDevelop value proposition to assist growers to achieve higher productivityLead the coordination of the support and sales teams to deliver on business needs analysisCoordinate customer activities to provide support & strengthen relationshipCoordinate the delivery of precision agronomy, product knowledge, and agronomic serviceDemonstrate the ability to increase penetration by calling on prospects which will require visiting the grower's place of business to assess needs and building relationships that lead to new revenue opportunitiesUnderstand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity.Suggest improvements or alternative tactics to help achieve commercial area and territory goals.Continue to develop professionally by remaining current with new technologies, management innovations, and sales management developmentsAbility to travel within assigned geography >75% of the time.Qualifications

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Business, Marketing required, will consider other degrees with related field sales experience.7-10 years of Ag sales or field agronomy experience, and proven abilities to:Sell, negotiate and influenceStrong agronomy and knowledge of crop production practicesAbility to pass a driving record background checkManaging and coaching individualsExperience working with strategic accounts in local geography.Demonstrated knowledge of:Lead and influence teams/projects and coach individuals in accomplishing defined objectives/goalsUnderstands the needs and values of partners and customers and to develop solutions to satisfy/retainGet results by taking initiative, overcoming obstacles & finding creative solutionsWork independently and operate within a budgetWork in and adapt to a rapidly changing business environmentCrop protection product offerings that are utilized primarily in row cropsCompetitive product/service offerings; local agricultural markets; value chain and crop production practicesAdvanced precision agronomy skillsBuild/maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers, key industry/market influencers, and internal partners and teammatesVISA sponsorship and international relocation are NOT available for this positionBenefits - How We'll Support You:
