We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grinder to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in ID/OD grinding, hobbing, and other related machining processes. As a Permanent Grinder, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining grinding equipment, ensuring the highest quality of output, and adhering to strict safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and is passionate about precision and quality in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain grinding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and output.
- Use precision measurement tools to inspect and verify dimensions of finished workpieces.
- Follow blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to produce parts that meet exact specifications.
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and perform routine maintenance or repair as needed.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the grinding process and make necessary adjustments to prevent damage to parts or machine.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve work processes, enhance product quality, and increase efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ID/OD grinding, hobbing, or related machining processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain grinding equipment.
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools and their usage.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
