Summary
This position is a member of a team that supports the Distribution Management System (DMS) applications. DMS provides Mobile Workforce Management, Outage Management, Distribution SCADA and Distribution Network Applications (Load Flow, Fault Location, Fault Isolation and Service Restoration) through a single user interface. In addition, DMS includes Internal Reports and the outage data used by Oncor's public facing outage map. DMS support efforts take place on a 24/7 basis although most work is done during the regular business day. The ability to respond to call-out is required.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others:
- Performs all essential functions and aspects of the job including any other specific job requirements
- Assist with support for the Distribution Management System (DMS) applications
- Assist with monitoring DMS application performance
- Assist with the coordination and support of the response to problems reported by the DMS users
- Assist with coordination of IT service providers and multiple vendors as necessary for problem resolution
- Assist in planned outage activities that impact DMS interfaces
- Assist in testing code changes to DMS prior to implementation on the production system
- Assist with training on the use of the DMS applications
Education, Experience, & Skills
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required;
- Two or four year technical degree related to Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering discipline is preferred
Experience
- Experience supporting a software application is desirable
- Knowledge of Distribution Operating Center (DOC) business processes is preferred
- Good knowledge of and/or experience in distribution operations processes for other DMS end-users is preferred
Skills
- Skills and experience with some of the following is required:
- Windows OS, C++, C#, .Net, VBScript, JScript, ASP, HTML, XML
- Ability and willingness to gain fast track experience through training and job assignments
- Able to multi-task and perform at a high level in a fast paced environment
- Experience with Geographic Information or Outage Management Systems
- Experience with SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
- Basic database Administration Skills preferred

- Resolves DMS issues in a timely manner
- Exhibits knowledge and understanding of DMS
- Demonstrates an ability to think through and plan work, and follow to completion
- Minimal supervision required
- Available for On Call rotation and support production system outside normal business hours.
