6-month contract-to-hirePosition Description:We are seeking a motivated and talented engineering designer to join our HVAC and Plumbing Coordination Teams and our Fire Protection Design Team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects. You will be using three-dimensional 3rd party AutoCAD software to assist with the operation, administration, and organization of project related activities to help successfully execute projects from start to finish. After finishing your time here, you will have developed professional etiquette, as well as gained experience in industry communication, general piping and building construction, and various software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit.In this role you will:Assist with general piping layout, coordination with other trades, and field surveyingGenerate various install drawings, as-built drawings, and 3D equipment modelsAttend project coordination meetings and complete job site visits with coordination managerPerform other duties as neededTop Requirements:Work/Familiarity with Engineering/Architectural Drawings and DesignCommunication & work ethicPlumbing CodeA successful candidate will have:Experience or knowledge of AutoCAD and NavisworksDemonstrated written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented and organizedDemonstrated time management skillsAbility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to collaborate in small groups or as part of a larger project teamAble to ask the necessary questions to gain full understanding of concepts/tasksCommitted to continuous improvement and innovationAbility to read detailed plans and blueprintsAbility to work with business-related metricsDemonstrated high-level problem-solving skillsPhysical Requirements:Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
